Meet Magento India 2025 looked incredible from the outside, but I wanted to hear the full story from someone who was actually there. So, I sat down with Andreas von Studnitz, our Senior Operations and Magento Architect, to hear all about his first time in India, the energy of the event, and what made it so special.

It was just great to see that India is a development powerhouse—how good the developers are, how many of them there are, and how professionally the agencies do their jobs. I’m just grateful and thankful that I could go. It was a fantastic experience.”
First Time in India
For Andreas, this wasn’t just his first time at Meet Magento India—it was his first time in Asia altogether. From the moment he arrived, it was an intense and exciting experience.
- The first big impression: The traffic. Cars, motorbikes, and tuk-tuks weaving in every direction but somehow, it all just worked.
- The second: The warmth and hospitality of the people. The welcome from the Magento community was overwhelming in the best way possible.
A Packed eCommerce Event with Unstoppable Energy
With over 400 attendees, Meet Magento India was buzzing from start to finish. The enthusiasm of the Magento community was incredible - developers, merchants, and agencies all coming together to learn, connect, and celebrate.
Andreas describes the event as "intense" (in the best way!), with an optimistic atmosphere and a real sense of excitement for the future of Magento.
- Highlight moment? The grand opening, complete with drummers, music, and dancing! Things got so lively that one of the drums even broke, but the energy never stopped.
- Fun fact: Andreas may have set a selfie record, with a seemingly endless queue of people wanting a photo. At one point, he lost count at around 50–100 selfies!
A Developer-First Conference
One unique aspect of Meet Magento India was the tech track was the main track. Unlike many other Meet Magento events where business talks take centre stage, developers were front and centre here.
From deep dives into async events to modern integrations, the technical discussions were a key focus throughout the event.
One of Andreas’ standout sessions was a talk by Pradip Shah from LuroConnect on low-code integrations and async events, a topic Andreas himself has spoken about at other Meet Magento events.
The Story of Hyvä, on Stage
It was so wonderful to hear that Hyvä was a major topic throughout the event. Many speakers gave shout-outs, and Andreas had the opportunity to take the stage to present "The Story of Hyvä", covering the journey from its early days to its future vision.
With over 100–200 attendees, it was a popular session, and the response was amazing. Andreas took the audience through:
